Dear Isak

The shortfilm «Dear Isak» portrays a vulnerable and intimate story of belonging,

and the healing power of an open letter from your future self.

In producing the stage, I wanted to play with the idea of self-image and selfportrait.

Instead of a canvas, a mirror is in it’s place. The painter becomes the

paiting, and the painting becomes reality, by transforming from gentle brush

strokes, to real ife scars. To make this possible, I travelled with Isak on his journey

before, during and after this gender affirming surgery.

This shortfilm is produced, edited and filmed by Joakim Eide.
The protagonist is Isak Bradley with his letter and music.
